While this newsletter doesn't contain as many products as the previous one, some very special gems are included, like Privatemode AI, which promises to be the first verifiably secure GenAI service.

ššš Privatemode AI ā Secure AI service with verifiable privacy
Offers a chat app for Windows and Mac, as well as an API, both secured by sophisticated confidential computing technology, promising verifiable security to keep user data completely private. Please see my Reddit post for more details.
My take: If you need to process sensitive data with AI, or simply want to chat with AI in complete privacy, the most secure solution is to self-host the AI. This however can be time-consuming and costly for more powerful models. With Privatemode AI, the cybersecurity startup Edgeless Systems seems to make every attempt to provide a verifiably secure remote AI service, which thus promises to be a great alternative.
The chat app worked well in my tests and the responses were always quick. I did not investigate the security architecture and look forward to assessments from independent security experts.

ššš Ocean (O.XYZ) ā AI chatbot with web search, focusing on speed, censorship-resistance and privacy
Chatbot with web search capability based on "decentralized" AI, see our Reddit post for more details. The company promotes a far-reaching vision of a "sovereign" AI that is "community-owned", with a distributed infrastructure including its own satellites and data centers on cargo ships in international waters.
My take: In my quick test, Ocean worked well as a chatbot and was indeed really fast, even with the free plan, and may thus be a good choice e.g. for brainstorming. For web search however, my experience has not been good. While it cited sources, it was not clear what it's specific statements were based on, it took numbers out of context, and was sometimes not able to gather readily available information.

šš AI Community Notes on X (GPTZero) ā Fact checker for X posts
To fact-check a post, you reply to it with @GPTZeroAI fact check, and the AI answers with a summary of it's assessment incl. links to sources. A detailed scan result page is linked, where confirmative / contradictory sources are listed for the individual claims in the post.
My take: While pop-up bases fact checkers (like the one from the last newsletter) are quicker, and Grok can also be used for fact-checking on X, the scan result pages generated by GPTZero are more convenient for checking posts with multiple statements. I think it works quite well, but I didn't test it enough to be able to evaluate its reliability.

šš Aivy ā AI agent that interviews job applicants and helps with onboarding
Advertised as a "digital co-worker for HR teams", Aivy conducts video interviews with candidates for screening, and then provides analytics, reports and scoring. Further, the AI can introduce new hires to the company and work, answer their questions and test them. The provider offers to create an extensively customized Aivy in 1 day.
My take: A demo-Aivy is available for everyone to try. My impression is that it could actually work well for pre-screening. The free demo-Aivy could also be useful for job seekers to train for interviews. There are already some good reviews on G2 and Capterra.

šš Corpora.ai ā AI-generated extensive research reports
Generates detailed summaries and extensive reports (up to ~100 printed pages) for research topics, using AI to extract information from suitable research papers and other sources. Sources are provided (up to a few 100). 20 languages are supported.
My take: In my quick test, it did create extensive and quite well-structured reports and the interface was easy to use. However, as expected from any LLM-generated content, the text was sometimes not precise and not especially clear (see also this article). Other big problems are the fixed structure and the lack of formulas and diagrams.

šš Headshot Photo ā AI generated professional headshots from selfies
After uploading 15 or more regular selfies, 40 or more "professional" headshots are AI-generated in 3 hours or less, with various customizable outfits and backgrounds, suitable for LinkedIn, resumes etc.
My take: It can be very tricky to look just like you want at a photoshoot, so this service may be a great alternative. While I didn't test it, the reviews at Trustpilot (4.8 stars) look very promising.

šš Thesys Canvas ā Tool to create flow and UI for conversational AI agents
Conversation flows can be designed on an infinite canvas, and the UI can be created using templates. Responses can contain graphical and interactive elements. An AI copilot is available to create and edit the flows. Deployment-ready code can be generated. Collaborative use is possible.
My take: In my quick test, the tool worked quite well, the UI is nice and intuitive. I'm however not sure about the actual usefulness of the kind of AI agents that can be designed with it.

š TLDR ā Fast AI summarizer for web pages, PDFs, videos (Chrome extension)
Summaries are created very quickly (~1-2 seconds) and are shown in a sidebar. 40 languages are supported. For videos, "notable timestamps" are also shown. A length setting is currently missing. Potential security risk due to the extension's extensive permissions. Currently free.
